EU Welcomes Turkey's Action To Change Article 301 Of Penal Code

BRUSSELS - The European Union has welcomed the legislative action taken by the Turkish Parliament to change Article 301 of the Penal Code.
The Presidency of the Union said in a statement on Wednesday that it is a constructive step forward in ensuring freedom of expression and the EU looks forward to its effective implementation.
"This step is positive for Turkey and is an indication of the country`s ongoing commitment to the reform process," it said.
