PARIS - Le Figaro Magazine has included a photograph taken by a prominent Turkish photo-journalist in Lebanon in its "30 Years of Emotions Photos from Figaro Magazine" exhibition.
The photo taken by Coskun Aral in Burj el Barajneh camp, located in the middle of the southern suburb of Beirut, in November of 1985, shows an elderly man holding a walking stick in one of his hands and a bomb in the other in front of a bomb-ruined building.
The exhibition, which has opened in the garden of the historical senate building in Paris on the 30th anniversary of the magazine, consists of 80 photos from different parts of the world.
The exhibition will remain open till July 15th.
Born in 1956, Coskun Aral is a leading Turkish photographer. The photos taken by him during the May 1st Workers` Day events in Istanbul were published in different countries through the Sipa Press. He covered developments in Poland, Lebanon, Ireland, Chad, the Far East and Rwanda on behalf of several magazines such as Times, Newsweek, Paris-Match, Stern and Epoca.
