LEFKOSA - President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said Wednesday that TRNC citizens were not a matter of bargaining.
Speaking on a live TV program, Mehmet Ali Talat said that it had been four years since the April 24th referendum had taken place in Cyprus.
Reminded that the Greek Cypriots always brought up the issue of TRNC citizens with backgrounds from Turkey, Talat said that TRNC citizens living in the country for the past 35-40 years could not be made a topic of bargaining.
"Everyone can not wait for the Greek Cypriots to get ready for a solution. I believe that the Turkish Cypriots living in the TRNC are all equal and will not be a matter of bargaining," Talat said.
