Two Greek Cypriots Detained For Vandalising Walls And Sign Boards In Dipkarpaz

Two Greek Cypriots were detained for writing "ELLAES" (Greece) on sign boards and city walls within the Dipkarpaz village.

According to the report delivered from the Police Department for Media, Demetrius Georgiou (male-28) and Georgios Vanezos (male-26) entered the TRNC through the Beyarmudu Entrance Gateway within an automobile carrying the licence plate number KAT 516 at 10:00 a.m. and after they had returned to southern Cyprus from there visit to the Dipkarpaz village it was made apparent that they had violated various sign boards and village walls writing "ELLAES" (Greece) with black spray paint.

The detained individuals admitted their offences and their vehicle and spray containers were taken as exhibits to their offences.
