EDIRNE/ANKARA - Gendarmery arrested 61 illegal migrants in northwestern province of Edirne on Tuesday.
Illegal migrants of Burman, Palestinian and Iraqi origin, who were trying to sneak into foreign countries, were arrested in Enez and Ipsala towns of Edirne.
Also Turkish General Staff's web-site said that security forces arrested a total of 335 illegal migrants in yesterday's operations in various provinces of Turkey.
Arrested illegal migrants were of Pakistani, Afghan, Burman, Iraqi, Palestinian, Mauritanian, Somalian, Bangladeshi, Iranian, Azerbaijani and Sri Lankan origin.
Illegal migrants will be deported after legal procedures.
