Budget Committee To Debate "employment Package" On May 1st

ANKARA - Turkish Labor Minister said on Tuesday that Turkish Parliamentary Planning & Budget Committee would debate "employment package" on May 1st.
Minister Faruk Celik told reporters that they would try to complete debates rapidly on the package and transfer it to general assembly to legalize it.
Celik said that he met leaders of worker and employer confederations and they completed works on draft law on "employment package".
He said that the draft envisioned to decrease administrative and financial burdens on employment and drop insurance premium five points as well as several arrangements to encourage employment of women and young people.
Referring to May Day celebrations (on May 1st), Celik said that the government's determination continued not to allow trade unions to stage a rally in Istanbul's biggest square Taksim.
Celik said that he would hold a press conference with Interior Minister Besir Atalay about May Day on Wednesday.
