Swiss Ambassador Visits Turkish State Minister Prior To Euro 2008

ANKARA - The 2008 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2008, will be co-hosted by Switzerland and Austria from June 7th to June 29th, 2008.
Swiss Ambassador Walter Gyger paid a visit to Turkey's State Minister Murat Basesgioglu prior to the event.
The Turkish minister highlighted importance of the championship for Turkish and European football, and said, "we, as Turkish government and the Turkish Football Federation, are ready to make any contribution for a successful championship."
Gyger said in his part that Turkey and Switzerland will be in the same group and the championship will prove the friendly relations between the two countries once again.
