Turkish Cypriots are paying a heavy price due to the deadlock in the efforts to resolve the Cyprus problem due to the isolations endured in all sectors above all within the economy, tourism and education sector. According to scientific observations, every Turkish Cypriot has lost 112,000 US dollars within the past 30 year duration and that the total figure of this loss amounts to 25 billion US dollars.
The study from the Seton Hall University entitled "The Economics of the Isolation of Turkish Cypriots" by Assoc. Pr. Ömer Gökçekuº whom also is of Turkish Cypriot decent has been published by the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce.
