Local of the TRNC, World Cruiserweight Champion British David Haye stated that as long as his lifespan permitted and for as long as the Turkish Cypriots accepted him, he will continue residing in this country and that no one could prevent him from promoting the TRNC.
Haye stressed that all necessary conditions desired by a sportsperson such as clean air, fresh and pure nutriment, and a stress-free lifestyle all prevail within the TRNC.
In his reply to the question regarding preventive measures adopted upon sportspersons from the TRNC to international venues, Haye stated, "This is an extremely hurtful and shameful development. Everyone must be capable of participating within all sports platforms. Sports' unites people. Despite that I contain no authority to overcome this situation, the TRNC name and flag I carry on my uniform and shorts is carried through the boxing rings to international arenas.
