Swedish Parliamentary Delegation In Turkey

ANKARA - A Swedish parliamentary delegation, led by Vice Speaker Liselott Hagberg, met Turkish-Swedish Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Turkish Parliament on Monday.
Turkish lawmaker Ozkan Oksuz, who is also the chairman of the group, told the meeting that nearly 70,000 Turkish people were living in Sweden in peace.
"However, terrorist organization PKK is organized and active in some European countries under the name of certain associations," Ozkan said.
"But PKK and Kurdish people are different from each other. For instance, I am a parliamentarian of Kurdish origin. Although there are not many Kurdish people living in Konya, my electoral district, three parliamentarians of Kurdish origin were elected in that province. So, there is no Kurdish problem in Turkey, there is the terrorist organization problem. We want Europe to acknowledge it that way," he said.
He also said there are nearly 100 parliamentarians of Kurdish origin in Turkish parliament.
