Turkey's And New Zealand's Fms Hold Joint News Conference

ANKARA - Turkey's Foreign Minister Ali Babacan said on Monday, "you can expect an increase in contacts with the local administration in north of Iraq on different levels."
Babacan met Foreign Minister Winston Peters of New Zealand, who is currently in Ankara on a formal visit. The two held a joint news conference following their meeting.
"The policy we have been pursing about Iraq targets at further improving our dialogue and relations with all groups in the country. However, there were different points of view about the the local administration in north of Iraq and the PKK terrorist organization. Now, you can expect an increase in contacts with the local administration in north of Iraq on different levels," Babacan said.
Babacan highlighted the importance of such a move in the fight against the terrorist organization and in Turkey's economic relations with Iraq. He added that isolation of the terrorist organization was their primary objective.
