We Will Do What We Can On Issue Of Golan Heights, Erdogan

ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan returned to Ankara on Saturday after attending the first meeting of Turkish-Syrian Economic Forum in Damascus.
Speaking to reporters in Ankara`s Esenboga International Airport, Erdogan said that Turkey would do what it could on the issue of Golan Heights.
Reminded by a journalist about news reports in the Arabic media that he conveyed Israel`s conditions for withdrawal from the Golan Heighs to al-Asad, Erdogan said that both Israel and Syria made a request from Turkey to help start a process on the Golan Heights.
"As Turkey, we will do whatever is possible on the issue of Golan Heights," Erdogan noted.
Erdogan stressed that a Turkish representative would travel to Israel for talks on Golan Heights.
Referring to his meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Asad, Erdogan said that they discussed regional political problems and issues pertaining to both countries.
"Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen is still in Syria and will hold talks on Sunday. Also, Turkish businessmen will continue talks in Syria," Erdogan also said.
