Northern Cyprus President Talat: We Should Prepare People For Solution

LEFKOSA - President Mehmet Ali Talat of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said on Saturday that they were responsible for preparing a plan which would be accepted by the peoples of both sides in Cyprus.
He added that they should make people learn the plan and accept the solution within that process.
Talat, who spoke in a meeting in Lefkosa, said that they would work with goodwill and sincerity to solve Cyprus problem.
Talat said that he and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias held a meeting on March 21st and recorded an important development.
He said that technical committees and working groups (which were decided to be established in the meeting) set a joint agenda and started talks.
Talat said that they would prepare Turkish Cypriots to the solution and they were expecting Greek Cypriot side to do the same thing.
Talat said that solution of Cyprus question would be for the interest of Turkish and Greek Cypriots as well as the region and the EU. He added that all institutions should contribute to the solution.
