British Admiral Visits Naval Command HQ In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - A high-level British admiral visited a naval command headquarters in the Turkish province of Istanbul on Friday.
Admiral Jonathon Band, the first sea lord and chief of the naval staff of the United Kingdom, paid a visit to North Sea Field Command Headquarters in Istanbul.
Turkey`s Naval Forces Commander Admiral Metin Atac welcomed Admiral Band at the headquarters, and then the two commanders had a tete-a-tete meeting.
Admiral Band was appointed First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff of the United Kingdom in February 2006.
