ISTANBUL - Varsaw Stock Exchange executives invited on Friday Turkish companies to partake in public offerings in Poland.
A conference organized jointly by Varsaw Stock Exchange, Stock Exchange Investor`s Association and Turkey-Poland Chamber of Commerce and entitled, "Public offerings in Varsaw Stock Exchange: Opportunities for Turkish investors and companies" was held in Istanbul .
Experts from Turkish and Polish capital markets and business executives attended the conference.
Varsaw Stock Exchange Deputy Chairman, Lidia Adamska delivered a speech at the conference and said the effect of the global liquidity crisis on Polish markets and the public offerings here, was on a minor level.
"The financial opportunities we will create for Turkish investors will be big. We want Turkish companies to be part of Varsaw Stock Exchange," said Adamska.
He said public offerings in Varsaw Stock Exchange was simple, plain and low-cost.
Adamska said we are one of the countries that can best understand Turkey on the path to EU membership.
"We have been through similar stages. We support Turkey`s EU bid," said Adamska.
