ADANA - The senior U.S. envoy in Turkey said on Friday that Turkey and the United States were cooperating for peace.
U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Ross Wilson said Turkey and the United States are cooperating for peace and stability not only in the region but also in the entire world.
"The friendship between the two countries is strong", the ambassador told governor Ilhan Atis of the southern city of Adana.
Ross Wilson was nominated by U.S. President George Bush on October 28h, 2005 to serve as the American Ambassador to Turkey. He was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in November and presented his credentials in Ankara to Ahmet Necdet Sezer, the then president of Turkey, on December 8th, 2005.
