Bush Marks 35th Anniversary Of Moon Landing

WASHINGTON, July 21 (AFP) - US President George W. Bush welcomed former astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins to the White House Wednesday to mark the 35th anniversary of the first landing on the moon.
Bush met privately in the Oval Office with the three men, who took part in the July 1969 Apollo 11 mission that led Armstrong to become the first man to walk on the moon, followed by Aldrin.
The US president called in January for development of a new spacecraft capable of traveling to the moon as early as 2015, and then possibly to Mars.
