ANKARA - Head of Turkey`s Treasury said Tuesday he expected International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Directors Board would convene in May to assess letter of intent within the scope of recent review with Turkey.
Undersecretary Ibrahim Halil Canakci told reporters in a meeting in Ankara that the existing stand-by deal with IMF would end on May 10th, 2008.
Canakci said, "we target to complete the review in the beginning of May."
He said that the government would decide what would be the format after May.
He added that there were two options at the table as "precautionary stand-by arrangement" and "post-program monitoring".
