ROME - Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler said on Tuesday that his Greek counterpart Dimitris Sioufas and he had decided to initiate joint projects in renewable energy area.
Guler held bilateral meetings with ministers from Switzerland, Greece and Italy within the scope of the 11th International Energy Forum in Rome.
Guler told AA that joint future projects on wind, sun and geothermal energy would further strengthen relations between Turkey and Greece.
Also briefing about his meeting with Walter Steinmann, the director of the Swiss Federal Office for Energy, Guler said that Turkey and Switzerland would make a joint project in renewable energy area too.
Guler added that Switzerland wanted to transport natural gas via Turkey.
Guler will return to Turkey on Wednesday.
