Turkish State Minister: Euro-mediterranean Free Zone Will Serve Regional Stability

ISTANBUL - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Wednesday that Euro-Mediterranean free trade zone would serve regional stability and security.
Speaking in the Fourth Conference of Euro-Mediterranean (Euromed) Trade Ministers in Istanbul, Tuzmen said that Turkey was committed to establish a free trade zone between the European Union (EU) and the Mediterranean countries.
Tuzmen noted that establishment of Mediterranean free trade zones would help to increase investments and transparency, as well as to share information and experience.
Tuzmen added that the participants of the Istanbul conference should show their determination and will to establish Euro-Mediterranean Free Trade Zone no later than 2010.
