ROME - Turkey`s Energy Minister said on Monday that the issues discussed during the International Energy Forum would shed light on Turkey`s energy policies and investments.
Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler is currently in the Italian capital Rome to attend the "11th International Energy Forum".
"This meeting, during which issues such as the rise in oil prices and energy investments are being discussed, is of great importance. These issues highly concern Turkey as well. Our observations at this meeting will shed light on our energy policies and investments," Guler told A.A in Rome.
Guler also said that he would hold bilateral talks on energy issue with his foreign counterparts during the forum which would be closed to press.
A delegation from the Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) of Turkey and more than 30 Turkish companies operating in the energy sector are accompany Guler during the forum.
The "International Energy Forum" gathers ministers of energy producing and consuming countries, as well as industrialized and developing countries in a global dialogue on energy.
In the forum, ministers address issues of energy security and the links between energy, environment and economic development.
