Former Premier Says He Isn't Working To Establish A New Party

TRABZON - Mesut Yilmaz, an independent deputy from the northeastern province of Rize, said on Monday he was not working to establish a new political party at the moment.
Former prime minister told reporters in Trabzon that there was need for a brand new political party in Turkey.
"There has been a serious tension in Turkey. I think that the country needs a political party which eases this tension and embraces everyone. We are following developments and getting prepared for the future of the country," Yilmaz said.
Mesut Yilmaz is the former chairperson of the Motherland Party (ANAVATAN) and served as prime minister in the 1990s.
