KUALA LUMPUR - Turkey`s FNSS Defense Systems company Monday signed sales contracts with Malaysia on the sidelines of the 11th Defense Services Asia Exhibition and Conference (DSA 2008) that opened in Malaysia`s capital Kuala Lumpur.
Under the contract, FNSS will sell 48 armoured combat vehicles, named Adnan, to Malaysia. Total price of the contract is 72 million USD.
FNSS earlier sold 211 armoured combat vehicles. 65 of the vehicles in question would be assembled in Malaysia.
Within the scope of second sales contract, FNSS will also sell 8 mortar launcher version of the Akinci armoured combat vehicles to Malaysia. Those vehicles have the ability to move under any condition.
FNSS is jointly owned by Nurol Group of Turkey and U.S. BAE Systems Land and Armaments.
