T.H.Y. Says To Buy Airbus And Boeing Planes

ISTANBUL - The Turkish Airlines (THY) said on Wednesday that its Executive Board decided to buy 36 planes from Airbus and 15 from Boeing.
Sending a statement to the Istanbul stock exchange, THY said, ''during its meeting on Tuesday, the THY Executive Board decided to buy five A330/200s, twelve A321/200s and nineteen A320/200s from Airbus and fifteen B737/800s from Boeing.''
THY said that those purchases were a part of the its plans to expand its fleet, adding that the order included five large-body, long-distance planes from Airbus and 46 medium-distance planes from both Airbus and Boeing.
THY currently has 70 planes.
