Rate Of Capacity Utilization Increases

ANKARA - The rate of capacity utilization increased from 80.1 percent in June of 2003 to 84.5 percent in June of 2004.
The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced primarily provisional results of 713 large scale manufacturing industrial establishments.
The DIE said that the rate of capacity utilization that was weighted by production value, increased to 84.5 percent.
When the reasons of not working in full capacity for June of 2004 compared to the same month of the previous year, shortage of demands in domestic market decreased from 67 percent to 60.4 percent, and shortage of demands in foreign market increased from 14.5 percent to 16.7 percent.
When the weighted average view of the establishments for June of 2004 compared to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production dropped and domestic sales fell while sale prices and raw material prices increased.
