Turkish Foreign Minister Visits Turkish School In Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan visited a Turkish school in Pakistan on Saturday.
A ceremony was held in Pak-Turk International High School, built by Pak-Turk Education Foundation.
School Director Ismail Nazli, addressing the ceremony, said "by opening schools, Turkey expresses its gratitude to people of brotherly country Pakistan who supported Turkey during the War of Independence, despite their difficult condition."
Nazli said more than 3,000 students are getting education in their 13 schools in 7 cities, and noted that they were in an effort to rise the number of schools.
Babacan said graduates of those schools would assume the role of bridge between Turkey and Pakistan in the future.
Babacan later visited Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of Pakistan People`s Party and former Pakistan PM Benazir Bhutto`s husband.
Turkish foreign minister will also be received by Pakistan`s Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and attend a dinner to be hosted by Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi before returning to Turkey.
