IZMIR - Turks living in the European countries generate one-third of the Union`s annual turnover, with an over 45 billion-euro sum, head of a Turkish studies center said on Friday.
"There are nearly 102,000 Turkish entrepreneurs in 15 EU countries, and they are running business in 115 different sectors," Prof. Faruk Sen, president of the Turkish Research Center Foundation, told a meeting in the Aegean resort of Izmir.
Sen said Turks living in the Union had an average investment size of 107,000 euro per capita, adding that Turkish investors have created job opportunities for 470,000 people.
Sen also said the number of Turkish employers was expected to climb to 190,000 by 2020.
