LEFKOSA - Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot leaders will meet again in May.
President Mehmet Ali Talat of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias will have a meeting at the Ledra Palace Hotel in Lefkosa, Cyprus on May 7th, Turkish Cypriot authorities said on Thursday.
The meeting will be a social organization, and representatives of the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot political parties are also expected to attend the reception to begin at 7 p.m.
In their regular meeting on Wednesday, representatives of political parties from both sides of the island decided to organize this reception. Anna Turnicova, the Slovakian ambassador in the Greek Cypriot administration, supported the initiative.
Talat and Christofias met for the first time at the residence of Michael Moeller, the special representative of United Nation Secretary General to Cyprus, in the buffer zone on March 21st.
