NEVSEHIR - Foreign journalists from several countries visited Cappadocia in central province of Nevsehir.
Cappadocia is a region of exceptional natural wonders characterized by fairy chimneys and a unique historical and cultural heritage in Nevsehir.
Fifty journalists from Malaysia, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkmenistan and Austria attended the inauguration of tourism week at invitation from the governor`s office in Nevsehir and visited touristic attractions in the region.
Governor Mehmet Asim Hacimustafaoglu informed journalists on the province and its vicinity.
The area is a famous and popular tourist destination, as it has many areas with unique geological, historic and cultural features. It is largely underlain by sedimentary rocks formed in lakes and streams, and ignimbrite deposits erupted from ancient volcanoes approximately 9 to 3 million years ago.
