IZMIR - A Turkish entrepreneur has been presented with the "Commercial Leader of the Year in America" award.
Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) - Turkish-U.S. Business Council (TAIK) President, Ferit Sahenk, gave Serhat Pala, the owner of TestCountry in the United States, the award in an annual conference organized by the American Turkish Council, American Turkish Society and TAIK in the United States.
Pala established his company "TestCountry" in his home garage in 2001. The company grew 10 fold in the past three years. TestCountry`s revenues reached 2.5 million USD in 2007.
TestCountry was the 239th fastest growing company in the U.S. in 2007. Monthly Inc. magazine presented Pala with the "Fastest Growing Company Award" in Chicago.
Thirty-five-year-old Serhat Pala has been living in San Diego for the past decade.
