State Minister: We Re-arrange Sale Of Property To Foreign Companies In Turkey

NEW YORK - Turkish State Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Wednesday that they started to work on a new arrangement after Constitutional Court cancelled a decision that allowed foreign companies to purchase property in Turkey.
Before he departed from New York, the United States, Simsek told AA that after they completed the arrangements, the proposal would be adopted at parliament.
Constitutional Court had decided to stop sale of property to foreign companies in Turkey, and the decision came into effect on Wednesday.
On the last day of his visit to New York, Simsek attended a meeting which the Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch hosted in his honor. He held meetings with high-level officials of international investment and rating institutions like EFG&JP Morgan, Moodys and S&P.
Minister Simsek will proceed to Brussels from New York.
