ISTANBUL - Turkish director Biray Dalkiran`s "Cennet (Heaven)" film will meet with the international audience at Britain`s biggest independent film festival, Portobello Film Festival.
The comedy-drama, based on a screenplay by Burak Sesli, centers on the story of Can, a 29-year-old mentally ill man, played by Engin Altan Duzyatan. Can suffers heavy trauma at age of 7 with the death of his beloved mother, which locks him up forever in a world of his own, where he lives together with his delusions. The story starts to unfold when Can is joined by a new friend in his fun-packed, dreamlike world. "Cennet" opened on April 11th in theaters across Turkey.
