ANKARA - Foreign businessmen made 1.5 billion USD of investments in Turkey in the first two months of 2008.
"International net direct investments were down 80.4 percent in the first two months of 2008 over the same period of 2007, and dropped to 1.5 billion USD," Turkey's Treasury Undersecretariat said on Wednesday.
According to the figures of the undersecretariat, 976 million USD of foreign investments flew in Turkey in January and this figure was only 616 million USD in February 2008.
Turkey drew 8.1 billion USD of direct foreign investments in the first two months of 2007.
