ANKARA - Turkey's monetary policy board will convene on Thursday to discuss interest rates.
This will be the fourth meeting of the Monetary Policy Board of the Central Bank since the beginning of 2008.
Executives of the Central Bank and the Treasury Undersecretariat will also participate in the meeting.
The board is not expected to reduce short-time interest rates.
The Monetary Policy Board will release a press statement after its meeting.
In its previous meeting on March 19th, the board did not change the short-term interest rates and kept the overnight borrowing interest rate at 15.25 percent, and the overnight lending rate at 19.25 percent.
