ISTANBUL - Turkey competes with Romania to be the first among countries in the world ranking for attractiveness for foreign investors, according to Ernst & Young Attractiveness of Southeast Europe Survey.
Romania currently ranks the first with 52 percent and Turkey ranks the second in investment attractiveness with 50 percent, the survey said.
Ernst & Young Turkey DG Osman Dincbas and Ernst&Young French senior Director Fabrice Reynauld made public the results of the survey for 2007 at a news conference.
The survey said Turkey has a balanced attractiveness profile when domestic market, transportation and logistic infrastructures, telecommunication, living quality, working cost, transparency and stability are taken into consideration.
Romania, Turkey, and Bulgaria are the three most attractive countries of Southeast Europe consecutively, the survey said and suggested Turkey to maintain political stability to refresh confidence of the investors and to upgrade the level of investment attractiveness.
Over 800 people - representatives of international investors- participated in this year`s survey.
