Two Palestinians hurt in Israeli raid on Gaza City

GAZA CITY - Two Palestinians were wounded in an Israeli air raid on Gaza City late Sunday, Palestinian security sources said.

They said the raid, which hit the north of the city, targeted the home of Mohammed Hajazi, head of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, an armed offshoot of Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas's mainstream Fatah party.

An Israeli military spokesman in Tel Aviv confirmed to AFP that the "Israeli air force has carried out a raid on Gaza City".
