PARIS - Turkish President Abdullah Gul departed from French capital of Paris on Monday.
Gul came to Paris in order to support Aegean province of Izmir`s bid to host EXPO 2015.
Izmir lost the bid during the vote on Monday.
Italian city of Milan will host EXPO 2015--cited as the third largest event in the world in terms of economic and cultural impact, after the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games.
After attending a reception held in Paris on the occasion of Milan`s victory, Gul left France for Turkey.
