ANKARA - Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Turkey suffered a lot from terrorism, "international solidarity and cooperation are necessary for fight against those threats," he noted.
Speaking at the dinner he hosted in honor of Kuwaiti Amir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah, Gul said relations between Turkey and Kuwait gained momentum recently and a special importance has been attached to improvement and diversification of the relations.
Gul said the agreements and the memorandum of understanding that were signed were the indicators of the will to boost ties.
"Our region passes through a difficult period. Problems diversified and became connected to each other. Palestinian problem and sufferings of the Palestinian people wait for an urgent solution," Gul underlined and pointed to the developments in Iraq.
Gul said macro-economic stability was provided in Turkey as a result of the rooted reforms fulfilled in the recent years and an appropriate atmosphere has been established for investments, "we expect Kuwait to have more share in the investment opportunities offered by Turkey."
On the other hand, Kuwaiti Amir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah said his country was aiming to improve investments in economy and trade.
Kuwaiti Amir recalled that Turkey supported Kuwait during the attack by Iraq.
