Turkey And Kuwait To Have Intensive Consultation And Cooperation

ANKARA - Turkey and Kuwait decided to have intensive consultation and cooperation on regional matters concerning the two countries.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Kuwaiti Amir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah on Sunday signed "Joint Declaration on Cooperation Between Turkey and Kuwait".
The declaration said relations between Turkey and Kuwait gained momentum in the recent years, and the two countries aim to boost relations in every area.
According to the joint declaration, the parties decided to boost actual cooperation to fight against terrorism and crimes.
Turkey and Kuwait would also make cooperation in military and defense industry and conclude talks on "Military Cooperation Framework Agreement" soon.
The declaration said the parties also agreed on economic matters. Investments by Kuwaiti companies in Turkey and those by Turkish companies in Kuwait will be encouraged.
Turkey and Kuwait would maintain works to sign agreements in order to conclude legal framework of the commercial and economic relations.
Joint Economic Commission and Business Council meetings would be held often, and the parties will reciprocally be encouraged to organize trade fairs.
According to the declaration, businessmen would be granted visa facilities, and Turkey and Kuwait would cooperate in energy.
As to education and culture, Turkish and Kuwaiti parties decided to organize cultural activities aiming to promote cultural riches.
