International Clinical Medicine Federation To Organize Congress In Istanbul

ANTALYA - An international clinical chemistry federation will host a congress in the Turkish metropolis, Istanbul.
The International Federation of Clinical Chemistry & Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) decided to organize its international congress in Istanbul in 2014.
Turkey's Akdeniz University hosted the general conference of IFCC in Kemer town of Mediterranean province of Antalya on April 13th-14th.
Participants voted to hold their international congress in Istanbul in 2014. Other contestants were Sweden, Mexico and India.
"Almost ten thousand people are expected to participate in the international congress," a Turkish professor said.
Professor Tomris Ozben of Akdeniz University's Faculty of Medicine said the venue of the congress will be Istanbul's Lutfi Kirdar International Congress & Exhibition Hall.
The federation holds its international congress every three years. Therefore, the world congress will take place in Brazil in 2008 and in Germany in 2011.
The mission of federation is to be the leading organization in the field of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine worldwide.
Through leadership and innovation in science and education, the federation strives to enhance the scientific level and the quality of diagnosis and therapy for patients throughout the world.
