Turkish State Minister Meets U.S. Treasury Official, W.B. President

WASHINGTON D.C. - Turkey's state minister for Treasury met a U.S. Treasury official and the president of the World Bank (WB) on Saturday.
State Minister Mehmet Simsek had talks with David McCormick, undersecretary of the U.S. Department of Treasury for International Affairs, and WB President Robert Zoellick.
Simsek is actually in the United States to participate in the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the WB.
Minister Simsek also attended a meeting of the International Monetary & Financial Committee (IMFC) on Saturday.
Simsek is expected to participate in IMF-WB meetings on Sunday, and the 27th annual conference of the American Turkish Council on Monday, where he will speak on "U.S.-Turkey Relations: Regional Allies, Global Partners".
Turkey's state minister is to proceed to New York to meet investors after completing his talks in the U.S. capital, and depart for Turkey on April 15th.
