ANKARA - A Turkish minister compared on Saturday Turkey's export figures in the first 100 days of 2007 and 2008.
State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said Turkey earned 10 billion USD more from its exports on the first 100 days of 2008 over the same period of 2007.
"Exports are on the rise despite some economic problems," Tuzmen told AA correspondent.
Tuzmen said Turkey earned more than 35 billion USD from its exports in the mentioned period, and told the AA that this indicates that Turkey will achieve its year-end export target of 125 billion USD.
Turkey's exports were up almost 23 percent in March 2008 over the same month of 2007. Turkey gained almost 11 billion USD from its exports in March 2008. Turkey's exports in 2007 exceeded 105 billion USD.
