Turkish Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister Cemil Çiçek reiterated that Turkish Cypriots are not responsible for preventing a solution for all this time and that they have proven this within the 2004 referendum.
Noting that the injustices and isolations will be lifted for when it is realised that the TRNC has proven its willingness for peace, an agreement and a solution, Çiçek added that Turkey's responsibility as a guarantor cannot be avoided within any agreement and that a solution could not be attained in any contrasting situation.
