Gen. Ozkok Sends Message To President Denktas Of Turkish Republic Of Northern Cyprus

''YOU WILL HAVE YOUR DESERVED PLACE IN THE WORLD''

LEFKOSA - Turkish General Staff Chief General Hilmi Ozkok said on Monday that Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) would take its deserved place in the world with the support of Turkey.
General Ozkok sent a congratulatory message to President Rauf Denktas of TRNC on the eve of the July 20 Peace and Freedom Day.
In his message, General Ozkok said, ''despite all difficulties, TRNC proved the whole world that it was in favor of peace and solution. I believe that TRNC will take its deserved place in the world under the creative personality and distinguished leadership of President Denktas, and with the support of Turkey.''
''In line with its rights and responsibilities stemming from international treaties, the Turkish Armed Forces will continue acting as the most powerful guarantor of security of Turkish Cypriot people,'' General Ozkok added.
