ISTANBUL - Turkey's State Minister Said Yazicioglu said on Monday that Turkish drivers would be able to enter or transit through Azerbaijan without a visa under a protocol signed with this country.
The 5th term meeting of Turkey-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission was held in Istanbul. Yazycyoglu who headed the Turkish delegation during talks said a protocol foreseing conveniences in Azerbaijan's visa policy towards Turkish drivers and further talks on a preferential trade agreement between the two countries was signed during the meeting.
Yazicioglu pointed out that the rapidly growing economy of Azerbaijan started making investments abroad and said a meeting aiming to promote investment opportunities in Turkey to Azerbaijani companies and institutions would be hold in 2008.
