TRABLUS AL-SHAM - An exhibition on photographs of Sacred Relics of Topkapi Palace opened in Trablus al-Sham, Lebanon on Friday.
The exhibition is organized by Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry, Kaynak Bookstore and with support of Saudi businessman Velid Bin Tallal to mark the 120th anniversary of Abdulhamid's presenting the Holy Beard of Prophet Muhammad to the city and the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
The exhibition will be open for 20 days.
The Topkapi Palace in Istanbul was the official and primary residence in the city of the Ottoman Sultans from 1465 to 1853. The palace was a setting for state occasions and royal entertainments and is a major tourist attraction today.
The cloak of the prophet Muhammad, his sword, one tooth, a hair of his beard, his battle sabres, an autographed letter are among the Holy Relics.
