ISTANBUL - Turkish State Minister Said Yazicioglu addressed on Friday an Istanbul meeting devised to develop economic relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the Turkish-Azerbaijani Joint Economic Commission meeting, Yazicioglu said that a preferential trade agreement which he said was expected to be signed soon would be "a turning point" in boosting economic and trade ties between the two countries.
"The agreement will be an important catalyst in developing relations in all areas in economy and particularly mutual investments, and it will lay groundwork for a free trade deal between Turkey and Azerbaijan," Yazicioglu said.
The Turkish minister also called for the establishment of an arbitration board between the two countries to handle business disputes.
