The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has approved of an agreement for the exchange of property between the TRNC Immovable Property Commission and Greek Cypriot Mike Timvios.
According to judgement of the 4th office of the ECHR, Timvios will receive 22 thousand square metres (dunams) of Turkish Cypriot property from the Larnaka region in exchange for the property he had left behind within the TRNC. In addition, according to the judgement, aside from the 22 dunams, Timvios will additionally receive financial compensation amounting to 1 million U.S. dollars.
