Izmir's Expo 2015 Candidacy

-TURKISH MINISTERS AND OPPOSITION LEADER LEAVE FOR FRANCE

ISTANBUL - Turkish State Minister Mehmet Aydin, Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul as well as Deniz Baykal, chairman of the main opposition Republican People`s Party (CHP), left for France on Saturday in a bid to promote Izmir`s candidacy to host EXPO 2015.
The Turkish delegation will lobby to promote Izmir against the other EXPO candidate, Italian Milan city.
Delegates of the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE) are set to vote Monday to decide which city would host the world event.
