ANKARA - Summer time practice will begin tonight. Clocks will be advanced by one hour to use day light more at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The related decision of the Council of Ministers was published in the Official Gazette on March 26th. Contrary to previous years, there was nothing in the cabinet decision about when the summer time practice will end.
In the previous years, clocks were wound back by one hour on the last Sunday of October.
Unless the cabinet makes a new decision, it means that this practice will not be seasonal and will be valid throughout the year from now on.
Meanwhile, Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler recently said that they were working on a project to extend advanced hour practice to the whole year.
